Prerequisites
To set up your receipt printer with your Android tablet, you need to ensure that you have all the required peripherals.
Cables
As it is a Bluetooth device, it will not require any cables to connect it to your Android tablet. The only cable you will require for your printer is the power cable.
Receipt Rolls
The receipt printer makes use of 80 mm receipt roles, to print receipts. You need to make sure that you have got your 80mm receipt rolls ready to go. For more information on how to load receipt rolls, you may refer to the manufacturer’s website.
Android (Mandatory)
Make sure that the Android tablet is up to date. In case there are updates pending, we would recommend installing them first before you proceed with the receipt printer setup.
Cash Drawer (Optional)
You may also wish to set up your cash drawer at the same time, to do this you'll need a specialized cash drawer cable. This is similar looking to an ethernet cable but is smaller on one end.
Receipt Template
A receipt template is the typical end-of-sale receipt. This will be the default receipt template assigned to the register currently in use on Register.
To create and manage receipt templates, you must use the web application on Mac or PC. Refer to our Setting up your Receipt Format guide to learn how.
