Introduction
Credit Limit is the total amount of money that's available for a customer to borrow from the retail store to fulfil his purchases. This limit is defined by the retail store after considering the customer’s purchase and credit history. Once this credit limit is reached, customers will not be able to purchase using “On Account” payment type.
Features
Customer and Credit Management Plugin is a software module that seamlessly integrates with Tagrain. The plugin once subscribed to and activated allows you to further extend the capabilities of your existing TAGRAIN edition. Some of the prominent features are explained in the section below:
Retail Stores reserve the right to increase or decrease the customer’s credit limit, depending upon the frequency of his transactions.
Define and manage customer credit limits.
This Plugin allows the retailers to define and manage the credit limit of their customers. For example, a retail store has defined $3,000 as the customer’s credit limit. This means that the customer can pay up to $3,000 using the On-Account payment type. Now, let’s say he pays “On Account” for a transaction $1,200 bill value, the credit limit balance will be $1,800. This helps retailers expand their retail business by allowing payments made by credit term.
Customer’s Credit limit details can be viewed under the “Customer Information” card.
Define and manage additional payment types.
This Plugin allows the retailers to define and manage additional Payment Type(s) like On-Account and Store Credits. Payment Type(s) are the different ways a customer pays for the purchases made at the Point of Sale (POS).
“On Account” can only be used as a payment type when the customer has a credit limit balance.
