Introduction

Global settings are responsible for setting up various rules for the enterprise in Tagrain about taxation and other settings etc.
These settings are called global because they are applicable for all the Stores and POS terminals.

Understanding Global Settings

Global settings includes settings about taxation, delivery settings for customer orders, and document numbering series. These settings are applicable for the whole enterprise and get applied to all the stores, pos terminals and the associated masters.

Tax Inclusive Prices:
Switching ON this button sets up all product prices to include the applicable tax. This means that if the selling price of an item is $100, and if tax rate is 10% then the selling price includes the 10% tax.

Enable collect from store
This button enables collection from the store. This means that at the Web Register the cashier can give the  customer  the option to collect his product purchased from the store.

Enable ship from store
This button enables shipment from the store. This means that at the Web Register the cashier can give the  customer the option to deliver his product purchased at his doorstep.

Select serial/batch at the time of delivery
This button enables serial/batch selection at the time of delivery. This means that at the Web Register the application allows for selection of a serial or a batch controlled item WITHOUT prompting the cashier to select the serial number(s) or batch number(s). You will have to specify the delivery option of this order before scanning the products into the transaction grid. If this setting is ON, the user will have to select the serial number(s) and the batch number(s) at the time of delivering the goods. 

Print Suspended Transaction
Switching ON this button lets you print a suspended sale transaction. A suspended transaction can be recalled from under the Recent Sale tile. 


In the context of BIR Accreditation (Philippines), you are required to toggle the switch Enable BIR to ON. Switching this ON, on the Global Settings page incorporates some BIR specific settings in the application. These settings reflect at several places in the application including the Global Settings Page. (Screenshot Below)

This screen also allows you to define the prefix when creating a new customer, new product or a new vendor in the application.

The application comes with a predefined Prefix, starting number and ending number to the customers, products and vendors. While you have the option to edit the proposed numbering series, normally retailers retain the suggested numbering series.
