Scan and Pay Plugin Deactivation
In this article we will cover the steps to deactivate the Scan and Pay Plugin.
Introduction
Scan and Pay plugin is a software module that seamlessly integrates with Tagrain POS and allows you to extend the capabilities of your existing Tagrain edition. The Scan and Pay plugin when subscribed to and activated allows your customers to place an order on their smartphone using the Mobile Responsive Website.
Your customer can open the POS URL on the mobile device and then select the desired products to place an order. Once an order is placed, the customer can make a payment online for the order placed and choose either Home Delivery or Store Pickup as per his convenience.
If for some reason, you no longer require the Scan and Pay Plugin, Tagrain makes it simple by allowing you to deactivate the Plugin. However, upon deactivation:
All the features and functionality added that were added to the application upon plugin activation will be removed.
The data pertaining to this plugin is retained till the end of your current billing cycle. At the start of the next billing cycle, this data is purged from the application.
There will be no change in your subscription amount in the current billing cycle if you are only deactivating the plugin AND not updating your store / POS count.
Steps to deactivate the Scan and Pay Plugin
You can deactivate the Scan and Pay Plugin from the Purchase Subscription page. You can approach this page via the Plugins screen or the Manage Accounts section.
From the Plugins Screen
Step 1. Navigate to Home > Plugins. This will open the Plugins Grid View Screen.
Step 2. Navigate to the “Active” section on the Plugins Grid View Screen. This section will display all the plugins that are currently active. You should see the “Scan and Pay” Plugin. Click on the Deactivate button.
Step 3. Click on the Review & Checkout button to open the Purchase Subscription page
Step 4. You should see the “Scan and Pay” Plugin de-selected on the Purchase Subscription page, under the Already Active section. The Scan and Pay Plugin tile will also display your QR Ordering entitlement.
Step 5. Review your order summary and click on the Confirm & Pay button in the Cart Detail section to proceed with deactivation.
From the Manage Account Section
Step 1. Navigate to the admin section on the top right corner of the screen and click on Manage Account.
Step 2. On the Subscription screen that opens, click the Upgrade button to reach the Purchase Subscription page.
Step 3. You should see the “Scan and Pay” Plugin de-selected on the Purchase Subscription page, under the Already Active section. The Scan and Pay Plugin tile will also display your QR Ordering entitlement.
Step 4. Review your order summary and click on the Confirm & Pay button in the Cart Detail section to proceed with deactivation.
Subscription fee for Tagrain and its plugins is non-refundable. A plugin once purchased and activated shall not be refunded. You may however choose to deactivate the plugin if you no longer want to use it. Upon deactivation, all the features and functionality that were added to the application upon plugin activation are removed. However, the application retains all the data pertaining to the plugin till the end of your current billing cycle. At the start of the next billing cycle, this data is generally purged from the application. However, in the case of Scan and Pay plugin the data pertaining to this plugin is primarily associated with the reference numbers and auth numbers for the credit card transactions done, and so the data is retained and never purged from the application
You can always choose to reactivate the Plugin without incurring any additional charges, during its subscription cycle. There will be no change in your subscription amount if you are only deactivating the Scan and Pay Plugin AND not updating your store / POS count.
