Switch from Tagrain TRIAL to Tagrain COMMUNITY

Introduction

Once you have enjoyed and evaluated the trial version of Tagrain, you can switch to either Tagrain COMMUNITY or Tagrain ENTERPRISE. See: Subscribe To Tagrain. There is a subtle difference between the two editions. COMMUNITY Edition being lighter is best suited for single STORE single POS retailers, whereas ENTERPRISE edition offers multi store support and other important features required for larger operations. Both editions come in two payment options – Monthly Payment Plan OR on an Annual Payment Plan. There is a significant difference between the two when it comes to pricing. See: Tagrain Pricing. 


Tagrain TRIAL to Tagrain COMMUNITY

In this section, we will focus on how to switch from Tagrain TRIAL to Tagrain COMMUNITY.



Some Key Points to Remember - COMMUNITY Edition


The COMMUNITY edition is free for life. However, it comes with some restrictions. It restricts the user to One Store and One POS setup. 


A community edition that has not been used / transacted upon for 60 days will be deleted.


The retailer will have the option to subscribe to any of the plugins whilst in the community edition. However, doing so will convert the COMMUNITY Edition to the ENTERPRISE Edition and the retailer will have to pay for:

  1. Number of POS terminals (stores are free) +

  2. The subscribed plugin(s)



Steps to switch from Tagrain TRIAL to Tagrain COMMUNITY

Step 1. Log in to your Tagrain Web application. This will open the Tagrain Welcome page. 



Step 2. Click on your "Profile Picture" in the Top Menu Bar, then go to "Manage Account". This will bring up the Tagrain “Subscription” page. You will notice that under Subscription Information it says Enterprise (Trial) as the Edition. Tagrain Trial account, gives you full access to all the features of the Enterprise Edition.


Step 3. Click the “Choose Subscription” button on the Subscription screen. This will open the “Compare Edition” popup screen. 



Alternatively, you can click on the “Click here to view subscription plans” hyperlink to launch the “Compare Edition” popup screen.


Step 4. Click on the “CHOOSE COMMUNITY” button to switch from Tagrain TRIAL to Tagrain COMMUNITY. You will get a pop up pointing out the benefits of the Community Edition and the things that you miss out in the Community Edition. 



Step 5. Click the Next button to proceed to the Clear Sample Data disclaimer screen. This screen gives you the option to clear your Sale Transactions, your Products, and your Customer Data.





Step 6. Click on the Confirm Community Edition button and return to the Subscription Page. You will notice that under Subscription Information it now says Community as the Edition.



You also get to see a summary of your subscription under the “Subscription Information” section. It displays the 

  • Edition Type

  • Subscription Start Date

  • Subscription End Date

  • Store Count

  • POS Count

  • Plugin Count



Subscription End Date is Unlimited because the Community Edition is free for life. 


Store Count and POS Count are set to One (1), as the Community Edition only allows for a single store and single POS. Increasing your Store count, or POS count will upgrade you to the Enterprise Edition.


Plugin Count is Zero (0) because the Community Edition does not come in with any Plugin(s). The moment you subscribe to a Plugin, the Community Edition gets converted into an Enterprise Edition and you will have to pay for the number of POS terminals (stores are free) and the subscribed plugin(s).
