What is the impact of discounts on promotions?

The applied promotion is removed if a discount is applied at the line level. This holds good for the products on the buy side as well as the get side. However, if a discount is applied at the document level, the applied promotion is not removed. This holds good for the following promotion types:

Buy X | Get Y

Buy X | For a fixed price

Buy X | Save an amount
