Introduction
Hospitality and Quick Serve Plugin, especially designed for small Cafes and Restaurants, is a software module that seamlessly integrates with Tagrain. This plugin allows you to further extend the capabilities of your TAGRAIN edition. It lets you add efficiency to your Café or Restaurant with modifiers, meal deals and time-based menus. See: Features of the Hospitality for Quick Serve and Fine Dining plugin. In this article, we will cover how a time-based menu is managed using the Tagrain App for Android.
The “Hospitality for Quick Serve and Fine Dining” Plugin must be subscribed.
Time Base Menu can be created using Tagrain Web interface.
For the purpose of this article, we have created a BREAKFAST menu using the Tagrain Web interface. Now let us see how that time-based “BREAKFAST MENU” looks and feels on the Tagraing App for Android.
Step 1. Log in to your Tagrain App for Android. Open the register. You should see a separate tile for the “Breakfast Menu” that you have created.
The Breakfast Menu is a time-based menu, it would be available only for a specific time duration as specified under the “Available From” and “Available To” fields. See: Time Based Menus on Web Register
Step 2. Tap on the “Breakfast Menu” tile and select the food items and beverages.
You can even customize your Breakfast meal using the Tagrain App for Android. See: Combo Meal Customization
Step 3. Select the “Customer”. You may offer discounts, if any. Once done you may click on the “Pay” button to proceed to the “Select Table” screen.
Step 4. On the “Select Table” screen you have the option to define if the customer wants to dine in or take away.
If the customer wants to dine in, you need to assign a table by clicking on the table number. Once done you may click the “Select” button to proceed to the “Payments” page.
If the customer wants to take it away, you need to mark the order as “Take Away”. Once done you may click the “Select” button to proceed to the “Payments” page.
The “Payments” page will look slightly different depending upon whether the order type is a Dine In or a Take Away. In this page you will be able to change the table on which the customer will be seated.
In case the order type is a “Dine In”, the Payments screen will display the table number of the selected table. You have the option to select a different table by clicking the “Change Table” button.
In case the order type is a “Take Away”, the Payments screen will display take away against the Selected Table option instead of the table number.
Step 5. The final step is to take payment for the sale order. Select the desired mode of payment to conclude your sale.
The payment options will vary for a Walk-in-Customer and a Registered Customer. For walk-in customers the payment can be processed either in Cash or Credit Card or Gift Card. For registered customers, additional options like Loyalty, Store Credit and On-Account are enabled.
Every store has its own set of rules and policies around accepting payments from customers. It is best to clarify your store’s practices with your store manager before accepting any payments.
