Introduction
“User” , also referred to as the “Security User”, refers to all those people who use the application. Based upon their roles and permissions, the users can either have access to Web Register or back-office console or both.
This screen allows the administrator to set up new users or search for an existing security user to make modifications and edits to his permissions or group membership. To make modifications or create a new user, the administrator logs into the application using the administrator’s user id and password.
Create A User
Go to Home > Setup > User Management > Users to open the Security User List View screen. All the existing users are listed on this screen.
Click the Add Security User button to open the Create Security User screen. Enter the User Id, Username, Password, Email, and Phone in the required fields. The mandatory fields are marked with an (*) asterisk mark.
The various fields in the Create User card are explained below:
User Id
This is a username to login into Tagrain. This can be the user's short name or can be named by roles, example: casher1, cashier2, or Frank, Anthony and so on.
Username
Is the full name of the login user.
Password
This is the password to login into Tagrain. The password is bind by password policy:
Must contain a lower-case alphabet, an upper-case alphabet, a number, a special character.
The password must be of at least 6 characters.
Email
It is the email address of the user; email will be used in some cases of notification by email or a forgotten password. This email can also be used as the login Id of the user.
Allow Access To All Sites
There are some users like store managers or supervisors who can access different sites (store), or can access all stores. You can enable “Allow Access to All Sites” for a particular set of users to allow them access to all stores.
Role
Assign access role to the user, refer to Role section.
Once all the details have been filled in, click on the Save button, to create a User.
Edit A User
Click on the Edit symbol to bring up the “Users Card” screen, wherein you can update user Id | username | password | email etc.
Import a User
User information cannot be imported. However, you can export it using the Export button.
Export a User
The steps to export a user are explained below:
Step 1. Click the Export button on the Security User List View screen.
Step 2. Browse to a location where you want to save the SecurityUser.xls file.
Step 3. Click on the Save button to save the SecurityUser.xls file.
