Introduction
Tagrain Shopify Integration Plugin is a plugin that seamlessly integrates Tagrain with Shopify. This allows you to further extend the capabilities of their ESSENTIAL edition. You can now sell online as well as in-store.
Integration Touch Points
The data that is integrated between the two systems - Tagrain and Shopify, will fall under one of the five categories or integration touch points depicted in the table below:
Customer
A Customer is defined as an individual who purchases goods or services for his or her own consumption, in exchange for money, from Shopify or Tagrain stores. All the customer-relevant data integrates from Shopify to Tagrain. This data includes
customer’s name,
customer’s email address,
customer’s phone number,
customer’s address,
customer’s subscription payment information
It will also include information pertaining to adding a new customer, editing an existing customer, deleting a customer. This exchange of data is unidirectional.
To integrate customer data from Shopify to Tagrain, you will be required to enable the “Sync Customer from Shopify” option. Only those customers who are marked as “Active” in Shopify are integrated to Tagrain.
Product
A Product is defined as an item that is sold in your Tagrain Retail Store or Shopify Retail Store. Items sold online or via any other channel will also fall under this category. All the product relevant data integrates from Shopify to Tagrain AND Tagrain to Shopify. This data includes
- Product’s name
- Product’s description
- Product’s base price
It will also include information pertaining to adding a product, updating a product, deleting a product. This exchange of data is bidirectional.
To integrate product data from Shopify to Tagrain AND Tagrain to Shopify, you as a retailer will be required to enable the “Syn Product from Shopify to Tagrain” and “Syn Product from Tagrain to Shopify” option.
Stock
A Stock also known as inventory can be defined as products that a business holds either to sell. All the stock relevant data integrates from Tagrain to Shopify. This process is dependent on Product processes. This exchange of data is unidirectional.
To integrate inventory data from Tagrain to Shopify, you as a retailer will be required to enable the “Syn Stock from Tagrain to the Shopify” option. Inventory data integration is governed by the Tagrain-Shopify Store mappings.
Order
Orders integrate from Shopify to Tagrain. Whenever a customer places an order in Shopify using any of its active
sale channels, the same order is reflected in Tagrain as Sales. This process is dependent on product and customer processes. This exchange of data is unidirectional.
To integrate order data from Shopify to Tagrain, you as a retailer will be required to enable the “Syn Stock from Shopify to Tagrain” option.
Order Refund
All the relevant order refund data integrates from Shopify to Tagrain. This process is dependent on the product, customer, and order processes.
