Manage Serial and Batch feature is unlocked when you subscribe to and activate the Serial and Batch Product Management plugin.
Introduction
Manage Serial and Batch is a screen that allows you to manage all serial or batch controlled products in one place.
It allows the users to manage serial/batch product’s admission date, expiration date, and Manufacturing date.

Prerequisites
In order to manage serial/batch products you need to create the following first:
Product
Stores
Goods Receipt
Manage Serial And Batch Products
Navigate to: Home > Inventory Transactions > Manage Serial And Batch. The Manage Serial and Batch List View screen should come up. All the existing Serial and Batch products in the system will be listed on this screen.
To selectively filter the list, perform the following steps:
-- Select a Store
-- Select a Product
-- Specify a Type – All | Serial | Batch
-- Click the Search button
This will populate a list of the Serials/Batches, depending upon the selection made, on the screen.
The various fields on the Manage Serial and Batch screen are explained below:
Store:
Select the Store Name. Type the store name or click on the […] to pick a Store from the list.
Product:
Select the Product. Type the ID or Description or click on the […] to pick a Product from the list.
Type:
It can be either Serial or Batch or Both. Pick the option from the drop-down list.
Search Button:
Click on the Search button, to see the results.
In the Table all the Serials/Batches will appear as per the selection.
Go to the desired record and amend as necessary i.e. Admission date, Expiration date, and/or manufacturing date.
Once done, you may click on the save button to save the Serial and Batch record. Click Save.
Manage Serial And Batch Grid
This section explains in detail the different fields displayed in the grid.
Store:
The store where the product is available appears here.
Product:
Displays the product description.
Serial/Batch Number:
Displays the serial number of the product or Batch number to which the product belongs.
Serial/Batch:
Specifies whether the number is a serial number or a batch number
Admission Date:
Shows the date on which this Serial or Batch was received. This is an editable field and can be edited by the user.
Expiration Date:
It is an editable field and can be edited by the user to set the product expiration date. The date is specified in the format specified under General Settings .
Manufacturing Date:
It is an editable field and can be edited by the user to set the product Manufacturing date. The date is specified in the format specified under General Settings .
Comments:
It is an editable field and can be edited by the user to set comments.
