Introduction

Mobile App for Inventory Management Plugin is a software module that seamlessly integrates with Tagrain POS and allows you to extend the functionality of your existing Tagrain edition. It allows you to manage back-office transactions related to inventory management using the Tagrain Handheld mobile application.  


This mobile application is available to run on both - Android and iOS and allows you to look up products and create lists of products / quantities to perform inventory back office related transactions. The list you create using a Tagrain Handheld device can be actioned on Tagrain Web. 


Using the Handheld device, you can create product lists to perform any of the following tasks:


  • Goods Receipt

  • Goods Issue

  • Purchase Order

  • Stock Transfer

  • Stock Count



Prerequisites

The only prerequisite to make use of the inventory management features is that the Mobile App for Inventory Management Plugin should be subscribed to and activated.


Plugin Dependency

Performing inventory back office related transactions within the Tagrain Handheld has its own dependencies. For Example, to be able to make use of the Stock Counting feature, the Stock Counting Plugin must be activated. The Table below makes it even more clear:

The plugin, when subscribed to, allows you to manage back office transactions related to inventory and delivery management via Tagrain Handheld

 

In brief, the plugin incorporates these business processes:


Goods Receipt using Tagrain Handheld

You can create a list for Goods Receipt back office transactions using the Tagrain Handheld device. Open the Tagrain Handheld application. Navigate to the Transaction Screen and tap on the Goods Receipt option. Create a Goods Receipt List and then add products to it. Specify the Quantity to be Received and Save the list. Using Tagrain Web, you can use the Import From List feature to import the Goods Receipt List and complete the transaction. See: Performing Goods Receipt using Tagrain Handheld





Goods Issue using Tagrain Handheld

You can perform a Goods Issue back office transaction using the Tagrain Handheld device. Open the Tagrain Handheld application. Navigate to the Transaction Screen and tap on the Goods Issue option. Create a Goods Issue List and then add products to it. Specify the Quantity to be Issued and Save the list. Using Tagrain Web, you can use the Import From List feature to import the Goods Receipt List and complete the transaction. See: Performing Goods Issue using Tagrain Handheld





Purchase Order using Tagrain Handheld

You can raise a Purchase Order back office transaction using the Tagrain Handheld device. Open the Tagrain Handheld application. Navigate to the Transaction Screen and tap on the Purchase Order option. Create a Purchase Order List and then add products to it. Specify the Quantity to be Purchased and Save the list. Using Tagrain Web, you can use the Import From List feature to import the Purchase Order List and complete the transaction. See: Performing Purchase Order using Tagrain Handheld




Stock Transfer using Tagrain Handheld

You can perform a Stock Transfer back office transaction using the Tagrain Handheld device. Open the Tagrain Handheld application. Navigate to the Transaction Screen and tap on the Stock Transfer option. Create a Stock Transfer List and then add products to it. Specify the Quantity to be Transferred and Save the list. Using Tagrain Web, you can use the Import From List feature to import the Stock Transfer List and complete the transaction. See: Performing Stock Transfer using Tagrain Handheld





Stock Count using Tagrain Handheld

You can perform a Stock Transfer back office transaction using the Tagrain Handheld device. However, unlike the Goods Receipt transaction, Goods Issue transaction, and the Purchase Order transaction, you need to create a Stock Count record first and generate a Stock Count ID using Tagrain Web. 


Open the Tagrain Handheld application. Navigate to the Transaction Screen and tap on the Stock Count option. Select the Stock Count List that has been fetched from Tagrain Web. Then add products to the List. Specify the Quantity to be Counted and Save the list. Using Tagrain Web, you can use the Import From List feature to import the Stock Count List and complete the transaction.




Please Note - You can only perform a stock count for in stock products.
