In this article we will cover the features that get unlocked when you subscribe to and activate the Scan and Pay Plugin.
Introduction
A Plugin is a small, but effective software module that seamlessly integrates with Tagrain to extend the functionality and add features to the existing Tagrain edition. Scan and Pay Plugin is a software module that when subscribed to and activated allows customers to use their smartphones to scan a QR code to place an order from within a retail store.
Scanning a QR code opens a mobile responsive website. The customer can select and place an order for the products that he wants and make payment online for the order placed. Once ordered, the customer can either go in for a curbside pickup or choose home delivery of the products. See: Scan and Pay Plugin - Features.
Prerequisites
To be able to use the Scan and Pay feature, you need to subscribe to and activate the Scan and Pay plugin. The number of licenses that you acquire for your Store, will decide the amount you need to pay as the plugin license fee.

The Scan and Pay Plugin is a software module that seamlessly integrates with Tagrain. It allows you to further extend the capabilities of your existing TAGRAIN edition. Some of the prominent features are:

Online ordering
The Scan and Pay Plugin when purchased and activated allows customers to use their mobile phones to place an online order using the Mobile Responsive Website. Scanning the URL opens a mobile responsive website. The customer can select and place an order for the products that he wants and make payment online for the order placed. Once ordered, the customer has the choice to go in for a curbside pickup or request home delivery of the products.
Branded landing page
The Scan and Pay settings page allow you to control the UI (appearance) of the Scan and Pay App i.e. how the Mobile Responsive landing page would look when launched on a mobile device.
From Application Title to Brand Logo, it lets you control everything related to the landing page.
Home Delivery
The Scan and Pay Plugin when purchased and activated allows your customer to place online orders using the Mobile Responsive Website.
An order placed using the Scan and Pay allows the customer to go in for a curbside pickup or choose home delivery of the products. However to ensure this is achievable using the Mobile Responsive Website you must enable the below mentioned settings on the Global Settings page.
Enable collect from store
This button enables collection from the store. This means that at the Mobile Responsive Website the customer will have the option to select Store Pickup of the product purchased.
Enable ship from store
This button enables shipment from the store. This means that at the Mobile Responsive Website the customer will have the option to select Home Delivery of the product purchased.
Store Pickup
The Scan and Pay Plugin when purchased and activated allows your customer to place online orders using the Mobile Responsive Website.
An order placed using the Scan and Pay allows the customer to go in for a curbside pickup or choose home delivery of the products. However to ensure this is achievable using the Mobile Responsive Website you must enable the below mentioned settings on the Global Settings page.
Enable collect from store
This button enables collection from the store. This means that at the Mobile Responsive Website the customer will have the option to select Store Pickup of the product purchased.
Enable ship from store
This button enables shipment from the store. This means that at the Mobile Responsive Website the customer will have the option to select Home Delivery of the product purchased.
Order Tracking
Once the order is confirmed, the cashier will see a pop up for the new order in the notification section on the Web Register. This notification will include the following information:
Transaction ID
Time Stamp
A corresponding entry for the new order is recorded under Recent Sales as Delivery Pending or Pickup Pending.
The cashier can tap on the new order notification pop up to reach directly to the Recent Sales screen. Alternatively he can click on the Recent Sales tile on the Web Register to reach the Recent Sales screen.
Online Payment
You need to make the payment for the order placed whether it is Home Delivery or Store Pickup before it is fulfilled.
When you subscribe to and activate the Scan and Pay plugin a new payment type - Strip is automatically created. You must map the Stripe payment type to your POS terminal to be able to accept online payments for the orders placed using the Scan and Pay feature.
