Introduction
Appointment Booking is a mechanism where your customer can reserve a specific time slot usually online or over the phone to avail professional services that you offer. This screen stores the settings related to creation and management of appointment schedules.
Prerequisites
The Appointment Schedule feature is unlocked when you subscribe to and activate the Appointment Booking plugin in Tagrain.
To be able to book appointments from the Service Portal Page you must create and define the Appointment Booking Schedules.
Steps to book an appointment from the Service Portal
Step 1. Navigate to Home > Setup > Store Management > Appointment Schedule. This will open the Appointment Booking Schedule screen.
Step 2. Click the Copy URL button and paste the URL in your web browser to access the Service Portal Page below:
Step 3. Select a location. This screen displays the names of only those locations that are offering some kind of professional service. For Example, Car Service, Pet Care, Derma Care, etc
Step 4. Select a service. For illustration we are going to select Bronze Car Service. When you select a service, it takes you to the Date & Time section. This section displays a calendar on the left. On the right it displays the time slots, which are grouped into 2 sections - Morning and Evening.
Step 5. Select a Time Slot. For illustration we have selected 05-October-2023 as the date and 17:00 as the hours. When you select the Date & Time, it takes you to the Your Information section.
Step 6. After you have selected the Date & Time, you need to move to the Your Information section.
Fill in the details on the Your Information section and then click the Book button to book the appointment. You should see a notification stating that the service appointment has been booked.
