Mobile App for Inventory Management Plugin is a software module that seamlessly integrates with Tagrain POS and allows you to extend the functionality of your existing Tagrain edition. It allows you to manage back-office transactions related to inventory and delivery management via a mobile application.
This mobile application is available to run on both - Android and iOS and allows you to look up products and create lists of products/quantities to perform inventory back office related transactions. The list you create using a Tagrain Handheld device can be actioned on Tagrain Web.
Using the Handheld device, you can create product lists to perform any of the following tasks:
Goods Receipt
Goods Issue
Purchase Order
Stock Transfer
Stock Count
Performing inventory back office related transactions within the Tagrain Handheld has its own dependencies. For Example, to be able to make use of the Stock Counting feature, the Stock Counting Plugin must be activated. The Table below makes it even more clear:
To make use of the Tagrain Handheld device for Stock Counting you need to ensure the following:
The Mobile App for Inventory Management Plugin has been subscribed to and is activated.
The Stock Counting Plugin has been subscribed to and is activated.
The Handheld device has been set up and configured.
The product that you intend to count the inventory for should be in-stock.
Tagrain Handheld allows you to check inventory in real-time. For illustration purposes, we have selected the Team Top Soccer Ball product (SC-001) and will count the inventory for the same.
Step 1. Open the Stock Count List View Screen.
Step 2. Click the Create Stock Count button to open the Create Stock Count Screen.
Step 3. Select a Store from the list of available stores.
Step 4. Specify the Stock Count Number.
Step 5. Select a Count On date.
Step 6. Flip the Is Partial switch ON to display the Products accordion.
Step 7. Add the Standard Product(s) that you intend to count the inventory for. The product that you intend to count the inventory for should be in-stock.
For illustration purposes, we will count the inventory for Team Top Soccer Ball product (SC-001)
Step 8. Click the Save & Back button on the Create Stock Count screen to generate the Stock Count ID (ST001-SC-3) and return to the Stock Count List View screen.
The Add button would turn into an Update button. You can specify the new quantity and click the Update button on the Product Confirmation screen to reflect the changes on the Add Products to List screen. Click the Save button in the top right corner of the App to save the changes to the Count List - SC-001.
Tapping on the Stock Count List (Count List - SC-001) would take you back to the Add Products to List screen. This is useful in case you intend to revise the Stock Count quantity.
Step 16. Click on the Count symbol (resembles a Calculator) under the Actions column to open the Count screen.
Step 17. Click on the Import From List button on the Count screen to open the Stock Count List screen.
Step 18. Select the Stock Count List on the Stock Count List screen and click OK. This will open the Product List screen.
Step 19. Select the Product List on the Product List screen and click OK. This will take you back to the Count screen.
Step 20. The Counted Quantity column is now populated with the Count number fetched from the Tagrain Handheld device.
Step 21. Click the Save button on the Count screen to generate and print the Stock Count document.
Step 13. Return to the Stock Count screen. The status has now changed from NOT Started to IN PROGRESS.
Step 14. Click on the Post symbol (resembles a Page Refresh) under the Actions column to post the Count.
The Adjustment Quantity column will automatically populate with the quantity adjusted and the status will change to either Matched or Unmatched.
If the counted quantity is the same as system quantity, the status will change to Matched and in case the counted quantity is different from the system quantity, the status will change to Unmatched.
Click on the Post button. You will see a notification pop up asking you to confirm if you would like to update the current inventory. Click Yes on the notification to reconcile and update your inventory.
The Stock Count status that was earlier displayed as In Progress is now displayed as Completed. (As shown in the Screenshot below)
You can click on the Camera symbol to view the consolidated Stock Posting Document.
You can click the Print button to print the Stock Posting Document. A sample screenshot is pasted below.
