Introduction
Elavon Payment Processor plugin is a software module that seamlessly integrates with Tagrain POS and allows you to offer a quick, seamless and secure payment experience to your customers. Once set up, cashiers can take credit and debit card payments from customers at the POS using the Elavon Payment Device. This integration helps your cashier by removing the need to manually enter the amount and card details at the POS. See: Features of the Elavon Payment Processor Integration Plugin.

Info - Available only for the USA and Canada, Elavon Payment Processor plugin allows you to accept normal and contactless NFC credit and debit card payments from all major brands using the Elavon Payment Device.
Note - The Elavon Payment Processor plugin comes free with Tagrain. Activating this plugin will have no impact on your existing subscription as the plugin is free.
Alert - After you subscribe to the Elavon Payment Processor plugin, you will have to map the Elavon Payment Processor Device to your POS terminal to be able to accept card payments.
Prerequisites
The only prerequisite to collect credit and debit card payments using Elavon is to add Elavon as a payment type in Tagrain.
Subscribing to Elavon Payment Processor Integration plugin is a multi-step process.

--Generate Elavon Payment Device ID
Payment Type(s) are the different ways a customer pays for the purchases made on the Point of Sale terminal. Cash, Credit Card, Gift Card, On Account, Loyalty, Store Credit, etc. are some examples of Payment Types.
However, at times you may be required to void a payment type. For example while making payment a customer may change his mind and opt for a different payment method. This is simple, as the application allows the cashier to flip to a different payment method in a matter of seconds.
Note: You can only void a Elavont payment in case where a part payment is made.
Let us consider a similar transaction to demonstrate how to void a Elavon Payment.
Steps to void a Elavon payment
With multitude of sale transactions performed everyday sometimes the cashier may be required to void a payment. A cashier may cancel a payment that has been authorised but not settled through a Credit / Debit Card account.
A payment can only be voided only when it has been authorised but has not been settled through a Credit / Debit Card account.
The steps explaining how to void a payment made using Elavon are explained below:
For the purpose of this article, we are focusing on how to void a Elavon payment.
Scan a few products to the transaction grid and click the Pay button to reach the Payment screen.
On the Payment screen, you should see Elavon listed as one of the payment methods.
Click the Elavon button, to receive the credit/debit card payment via the Elavon payment processor.
Edit the Amount To Pay field to enter the amount that the customer wants to pay using the Credit / Debit Card. In this illustration we have specified $28.70 as the Amount to Pay.
Click the OK button, to process the payment using the Elavon Payment Device.
Your customer can either insert, tap, or swipe the EVM card on the Elavon Payment Device.
Ask the customer to type the card pin number to authorise the payment.
The Elavon Payment Device will display the Amount To Pay on the screen.
Press 1 to authorise the amount.
The screenshot below depicts that a payment of $28.70 was authorised using the Elavon Payment Device.
In the article: Collect Payment Using Elavon Payment Type we have mapped all debit and credit cards payments to be collected via Elavon.
Since the customer has made a part payment the application would take you back to the payments screen to collect the balance amount $100. (Refer to the screenshot below)
Before the transaction is paid in full, the customer decides to opt for a different payment method. In this scenario, you can click the Delete symbol displayed against the row displaying the Payment Type as Elavon. This will void the Elavon payment.
