Customer Facing Display Plugin Deactivation

Introduction

Customer Facing Display Plugin is a software module that seamlessly integrates with Tagrain and allows you to further extend the capabilities of your Tagrain edition. It allows you to be more transparent in processing Point of Sale (POS) transactions. With dual display setup, your customer can see the line items being scanned, discount offered, promotion applied, and tax imposed on it, all while standing at the POS. In this section, we will cover the steps to activate the Customer Facing Display plugin in Tagrain.


Steps to deactivate the Customer Facing Display Plugin

The Customer Facing Display plugin can be deactivated from the Purchase Subscription Screen. There are 2 ways to approach this screen. 


You can navigate to the Plugins Screen and click on the Activate button on the Customer Facing Display Plugin Tile. In the notification pop up that opens click on the Review and Checkout button to reach the Purchase Subscription Screen.


Alternatively, you can navigate to the admin section on the top right corner of the screen and click on Manage Account. In the screen that opens, click the Upgrade button to reach the Purchase Subscription Screen.

Deactivation from the Plugins Page

In this section, we will cover how to approach the Purchase Subscription Screen via the Plugins Page, to deactivate the plugin.

Step 1. Login to the Tagrain Web application. Navigate to Home > Plugins. The Plugins Grid View Screen is displayed. Go to the “Active” section. This section displays all the Plugins that you may have activated over the period. You should see the Customer Facing Display Plugin in this section.


Step 2. Click the “Deactivate” button on the Customer Facing Display Plugin Tile. You can click “More Details” to read about what this Plugin offers including screenshots and an FAQ section. In case you change your mind, you can click on the “Unselect” button to cancel deactivation.



Tip: You can choose to deactivate the Plugin from under the “More Details” section, by clicking the “Activate” button.


Step 3. Upon clicking the “Deactivate” button, you will get a notification pop-up indicating that you have chosen to deactivate the Customer Facing Display Plugin. Here, you have two choices:


OK And Continue Selecting

Click this button if you wish to remove more plugins from your existing Tagrain edition. 


Review And Checkout

Click this button if you wish to remove just this single plugin from your existing Tagrain edition. 



Step 4. Click the “Review and Checkout” button to open the “Purchase Subscription” screen. It displays the plan you are subscribed to along with the number of Stores and POS available. See: Tagrain Pricing 



The Customer Facing Display Plugin is license based. This means that its pricing is not based on the number of stores in your environment. A licensed based pricing gives you the flexibility to license only as many licenses as the number of Customer Facing Displays that you want.




Step 5. Review your order summary in the Order Summary tab, click the Confirm & Pay button in the Cart Detail section to process the payment.



Deactivation from the Manage Account Section 

In this section, we will cover how to approach the Purchase Subscription Screen via the Manage Account Section to deactivate the plugin. Navigate to the admin section on the top right corner of the screen and click on Manage Account. 

In the screen that opens, click Upgrade button to reach the Purchase Subscription page



There are 4 sections on this page. These are explained below:


Choose your subscription tab

This tab lists the plugins that are available for you to activate and include in your subscription. The plugins that you select for activation are added to the Order Summary tab. If you are here from the Plugins page, your plugin Customer Facing Display will already be selected for activation. If you are here directly from the Manage Account section, you will have to select your plugin Customer Facing Display for activation. You also have the option to select additional plugins for activation. The effect on pricing due to the updated list of plugins reflects under New Subscription in Cart Details.


Already Active tab

This tab lists all the plugins that are already active in your subscription. You have the option to select these plugins for deactivation. 


Order Summary tab

This section lists all the plugins that have been selected for activation or deactivation. 

Number of stores considered for the New Subscription pricing is mentioned below every plugin that has been selected for activation


Cart Details

The selected plugin gets added to the New Subscription section of the cart details.

Once you have reviewed your order summary in the Order Summary tab, click on Confirm & Pay button in the Cart Detail section. 


Since you are deactivating a pre-paid plugin, AND since there are no refunds or amount adjustments, you will not be required to pay any amount right now. Deactivating a plugin will reduce your subscription amount due from the next billing cycle. 


Please Note: The number of stores in your setup affects the overall plugin pricing. 


This is explained with an example below. 

  • Let's say your setup has 2 stores and 2 POS

  • You are on an Annual Billing Cycle 1st Jan - 31st Dec

  • On 5th April you want to deactivate a plugin whose annual price per store is $5.99

  • The reduction in your subsequent billing amount will be 2 X 5.99 X 12 = 143.76 (because there are 2 stores)


The amounts and currency mentioned here are for representational purposes only.



Note:  Subscription fee for Tagrain and its plugins is non-refundable. A plugin once purchased and activated shall not be refunded. You may however choose to deactivate the plugin if you no longer wish to use it. A deactivated plugin will be available till the end of your current subscription cycle. During this subscription cycle you can always reactivate the Plugin without additional charges.
