Surcharges are additional charges that a retailer may decide to levy on products. These additional charges are applied to the complete transaction. Surcharges can either be a fixed amount or can be a percentage of the total price.
Packing charges, shipping charges, alteration or fitting charges, service charge for repairs, etc. are some examples of surcharges that can be applied on a sales transaction.
Freight charges, handling charges, etc. are some examples of surcharges that can be applied on a Purchase Order.
On the Web Register, add a few items in the sale transaction. Apply Discount (if any).
Click on the Surcharge tile on the POS Grid to open the Surcharges selection screen. Pick a surcharge from the list of available Surcharges.
Please Note: Tagrain allows you to add more than one surcharge to a sale transaction.
Click the OK button to add the surcharges to the transaction. Once the surcharge(s) is added, click the Pay button to proceed to the Payment screen and complete the sale transaction.
In case this sale transaction comes in for a refund, the Surcharge amount will also be refunded, if the switch Refundable is set to ON.
