Moneris Payment Processor plugin is a software module that seamlessly integrates with Tagrain POS and allows you to offer a quick, seamless and secure payment experience to your customers. Once set up, cashiers can take credit and debit card payments from customers at the POS using the Moneris Payment Device. This integration helps your cashier by removing the need to manually enter the amount and card details at the POS.
The only prerequisite to collect credit and debit card payments using Moneris is to activate the Moneris Payment Processor plugin and add Moneris as a payment type.

The steps explaining how to refund credit / debit card payments using Moneris as the Payment Type are explained below:
Select the transaction that needs to be refunded from the Recent Sales screen and click the Refund button to open the Refund Transaction screen.
Click the Pay button on the Refund Transaction screen to reach the Payment screen
The entire amount to be refunded is displayed in the Amount To Pay field.
On the Payment screen, click the Moneris button, to refund the Credit/Debit card payment.
Since the payment was made using 2 separate cards, the application prompts you to specify the card you want the refund amount to be returned to.
On the Select Transaction pop up screen you will only be able to select one card at a time. Select a card and then click OK to process the refund. Repeat the process for the second card. Each time you select a card an acknowledgement is sent to the Moneris Payment Device.
Selecting the No Receipt option on the Moneris Payment Device will display the following pop up screen on the POS terminal.
Print Customer and Merchant Copy
Only print Customer Copy
Don’t print anything on the payment device
Depending upon the selection made, a credit card payment receipt is printed on the printer connected to the POS terminal.
In this illustration the amount of $15 and $20 has been refunded using the Moneris Payment Processor.
Please Note: This refund receipt is generated in addition to the standard refund transaction receipt that is printed from Tagrain POS.
Click the ADD NEW SALE button and you will be taken back to the POS transaction screen to start a new transaction.
On the Payment Screen, click the Moneris button, to refund the credit/debit card payment.
In our illustration, in the original sale transaction, we have made a part payment of $15 and $20 using the Moneris Payment Device. The application would take you back to the payments screen to process the remaining refund amount.
In the scenario that we just mentioned, where the refund has been made using 2 different credit cards, the application will print the following receipts:
Sale refund transaction receipt (consolidated)
Multiple credit / debit card refund transaction receipts (one for each card)
A screenshot of the sale refund transaction receipt (consolidated) printed from the POS terminal is shown below:
